Abstract

Banjarkerta, a village in district Karanganyar, Purbalingga, is a central village of mattress craftsman with textile waste materials as a substitute for cotton. One of negative impacts in consequence of work for the craftsmen is lung function disorder, which is caused by dust of textile waste. The other risk factors are age, work period, Body Mass Index, use of masks, smoking habits, and history of pulmonary disease.The purpose of this study was to find out the risk factors for lung function disorder in craftsmen of mattress in Banjarkerta, Purbalingga, year 2011.This research was conducted with cross sectional approach, observing 85 respondents, using random sampling techniques. The data collected was obtained by measurements (dust variables, BMI, lung capacity) and interviews (age variables, gender, work period, smoking behavior, and history of pulmonary disease). The collected data is then presented in tabular and narrative. The data analysis is done by analyzing tables and cross-table analysis, using the calculation of Ratio Prevalence  (RP).The results of this study is that there is lung function disorder in mattress craftsman, with the normal criteria (23.5%), the only restriction or obstruction (15.3%), the combined restriction and obstruction (61.2%). Factors associated with lung function disorder are age (RP = 1,220); gender (RP = 3.137); working hour (RP = 1,333); the custom of wearing masks (RP = 1.319) and a history of pulmonary disease (RP = 1.502). Factors not associated with risk of lung function disorder are work period (RP = 0.611);, BMI (RP = 0.807 and smoking habits; (RP = 0.583). Indoor levels of airborne dust in the home industry (26,656 and 80,000 ìg/Nm3 ìg/Nm3), already far exceeds the Threshold Limit Value (TLV) which allowed for the air space of industry, that is 10,000 ìg/Nm3.  Researchers gave suggestions for the craftsmen to wear a mask that is good and right, and to get occupational health monitoring by the Health Center / Department of Health.

Abstract

One of causes of high maternal mortality in Indonesia and the developing world is long deliveries. Pregnancy exercise can reduce the risk of long deliveries. Based on preliminary studies in PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital in Bantul, there were 139 mothers who gave birth in January to March 2009, by cesarean section as many as 47 people, 54 normal deliveries, and vacuum extraction of 38 people. There are 28 mothers maternity pregnancy exercise in which 21 (75%) normal childbirth with a long second stage of labor on average 2 hours in primigravida and 1 hour on multigravida, while 7 people (25%) with delivery action of Vacum Extraction and cesarean section. To determine the frequency relationship with old pregnant gymnastic second stage of labor. Analytical observational. The design of this study using cross-sectional. All mothers who do gymnastics normal pregnancy and childbirth in RSU PKU Muhammadiyah Bantul. Samples were taken in total sampling. Data were analyzed using Pearson Product Moment. The majority of respondents did pregnancy exercise 14-27 times and the second stage of labor was not a majority t.for long. Based on this study there is a relationship means that the more often the frequency of pregnancy exercise more and no longer second stage labor. Conclusion: There is a relationship between the frequency of pregnancy exercise with a long second stage of labor

Abstract

This Research is including research of Explanatory research that is to connect free variable that is characteristic, mount knowledge, attitude, exploiting of service of information presentation and health about PHBS RT to family with with variable tied that is applied PHBS RT . Population in this research  entire/all family head in Sidorejo village with sampel counted 342 familly. Analysis the used  with analysis of univariat to depict various factor related to PHBS RT and of applied PHBS RT, and bivariate analysis to know relation between various factor influencing PHBS RT applied and of applied PHBS RT use test of rank Spearman.There is relation between family characteristic, knowledge of head family, attitude of head family, exploiting of medium service of information presentation and health of PHBS RT applied with PHBS RT

Abstract

Hepatitis B is one of contagious disease that can cause disaster. This disease is one of the targets of Millenium Development Goals (MDG's). This disease can  be prevented by breaking down the chains of contacts from dentists or dental nurses. This research is descriptive with survey approach method. The samples are 30 respondents consist of dentists and dental nurses from 15 Puskesmas in Semarang residence. The instruments of  this research are questioner and check lists. The data are analyzed by univariat and bivariat analyzes. The result of this research is that the characteristic factors influenced Hepatitis B are age, education, period of working, marriage status, additional work and supporting trainings. There are influence among attitude, period of working, marriage status and additional work toward the efforts of preventing the spread of Hepatitis B. On the other hand, there are no influence among knowledge and education toward the efforts of preventing the spread of Hepatitis B. It is recommended that the facilities of Puskesmas be upgraded and the training be held among dentists and dental nurses.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze application of five family duties in health area in taking care of member of family suffering Diabetus Mellitus. This was a qualitative research with fenomenologis approach, with data collecting method indepth interview. Participant of this study were selected to have certain criterion that is one of member family is suffering Diabetes mellitus. Result of this research indicated that family to recognize Diabetes mellitus after contact with health facility. Decision taken by family is strive health or brings to health service, the treatment is give nutrition and takes medicine regularly. Workdload of family and knowledge in accomplishment of economic requirement influences psychological of patient especially in arrangement of area which kondusif.

Abstract

Hynosis therapy was developed as a part of independent nursing intervention to release the intense of pain that cervical cancer patients suffer from. Therefore, the goal of this research is to investigate the effect of hypnosis therapy towards decreasing the intense of pain that the patients with cervical cancer in the stage III hospitalized in surgical ward.  The research method was pre and post test design without control group. The intervention was hypnosis therapy that was provided by nurse expert in that field towards cervical cancer patient in the stage III. 6 patients were invited in this study and were provided hypnosis therapy. The measuring pain scale  (0-10) was given before and after the therapy. The research showed that there was decreasing the intense of pain from 6,33 to 5,17 after hynosis therapy. Moreover, the verbal complains also changed from crying to only moan after the therapy.

Abstract

Is a condition which causes emotional distress for children. In hospital, play is belived as a method to ventilate anxiety so that the children may away from the stressor. Therapeutic play provides structured and constructive play that sinergy with child condition so that facilitate healing. This study aims to analise the difference of knowledge and skill level of nurses before and after training of development of play therapy package. This study was conducted in three hospitals including RS Pantiwilasa Citarum, RS Tugurejo semarang, and RSU Kota Semrang. The population were all pediatric nursing in three hospitals of 40. Purposive sampling was applied to achieve 30 respondents. One group pre test-post test design was used as research design. The Questioner of Knowledge and Skill of development of play therapy package was used to collect the data.  This study showed that there was difference of  knowledge level before and after the training conducted  (z=4.155; p=0.000) and there was difference of skill before and after the training conducted (z=4.812; p=0.000). The seven package results were bottle bowling, straw blow painting, sailboat blowing, buble printing, magic bottle, ballon rocket dan fishing game. This study recommends that it is important to apply this play therapy package during children hospitalisation.
